The Ottawa Senators are taking a chance on an undrafted centre.
The Senators signed forward Eskild Bakke Olsen to a one-year, entry-level contract, they announced Monday.
Bakke Olsen had a standout performance at the 2026 men's world championship as part of the Norwegian squad that upset Canada in the bronze medal game. Through 10 games that tournament, the 24-year-old had two goals and three assists and was Norway's third-most utilized forward.
He spent the 2025-26 season with the SHL's Linköping HC, where he potted 11 goals and 32 points in 51 games in Sweden's top league.
